Part 4 : Five feature questions

Which website do you visit most often, and why?
Megastar.co.uk for babes and UK news.

What did you last buy online, and why did you choose that site?
That's an easy one. A domain name of course to protect one of my future services, after using my Unclaimed Domains tool!

What would you miss most about the Internet?
The ability to find an answer or reference to a problem or question very quickly, and the opportunity to mould a new career, realize a dream and achieve financial success. The Internet offers a whole host of new opportunities for "unknowns" to succeed at.

What was the best piece of web advice you ever got?
I can't say I've ever really had any web advice, more a case of confirmation of something I already knew or thought of. Being able to bounce ideas off someone is the biggest thing I miss.

Which web personality would you most like to have dinner with, and why?
Now that's a very sad question that deserves a sad answer! (Editor's note: in the UK, "sad" means "pathetic" as well as "sad"...)

I guess I came quite close to winning a date with Nell McAndrew at MegaStar - she played the character of Lara Croft for a little while - but I was involved in a car accident that day (not at fault) and ended up in hospital, and so missed the vote!

I should state for the record that I have a clean driving license, unblemished record but some would say I drive too fast and am simply too dangerous - anyone need a ride ? ;)

About this week's
interviewee:

Derrick Austin is a veteran of the computer gaming industry, having worked for over ten years for companies such as Sony Psygnosis, notably producing the officially licensed Star Wars game. He left the steady world of nine to five two years ago to strike out on his own on the Internet, and is currently engaged in building a network of sticky sites and webmaster tools centered around FreeURL.com. Derrick took time out from his breakneck development schedule to talk to us about website development, venture capital capers and a broken heart...
