Part 5 : Five "feature" questions
Which website do you visit most often and why?
News.com - I visit every single day because I want to scan the news headlines and see what deals are taking place, and what new products and services are launched.
What did you last buy online and why did you choose that site?
I bought a large box of books from Amazon.com - since I shop there so often its Recommendation service really has my interests pegged (although it's obsessed with telling me that I should buy Star Trek products since I bought a couple of bios of the stars in a single shipment a few months ago!) and every time I revisit the site spits up some interesting-sounding book I would NEVER have found simply by browsing.
What would you miss most about the Internet?
Being able to look up random obscure facts and get an instant answer! My wife and I can be discussing something, then we plunge onto the Web to find out what other films an actress starred in, what the 7 wonders of the world are, or wherever our conversation happens to have taken us. The Internet is the greatest tool ever devised for trivia fans!
What was the best piece of web advice you ever got?
Make sure you're in it for the fun, not just for the money.
Which web personality would you most like to have dinner with and why?
Jerry Yang and David Filo of Yahoo! (they're kind of a symbiotic dual personality)... They sound like really fun guys and I'd love to listen to them reminisce about their days in a caravan on the Stanford campus!
